Clarence Seedorf, a FedEx Ambassador for the UEFA Champions League final, lifted the trophy four times with three different clubs during his illustrious career.

The former Dutch international midfielder also experienced the heartache of losing a Champions League final when he was part of the AC Milan side beaten by Liverpool in extraordinary circumstances in Istanbul in 2005.

This weekend Seedorf is back in the Turkish capital to watch another of his former clubs – FC Internationale Milano – take on Manchester City in the final, and he spoke to OneFootball about what it takes to win the final, the psychological factor behind these games, the evolution of the midfield role and more.

Seedorf was speaking as FedEx launched their Champions Unboxed campaign in Istanbul – four giant cardboard sculptures crafted from 130 recycled FedEx boxes ahead of Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final.
