Ahead of City’s Premier League meeting with Wolves, the Scout’s thoughts on Gameweek 36 of Fantasy Premier League are in.

Pep Guardiola’s side welcome Gary O’Neil’s to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 4 May for a 17:30 (UK) kick-off.

We enter the clash looking to extend our unbeaten league streak to 20 straight matches and continue our relentless pursuit of an unprecedented fourth consecutive title.

In September’s reverse fixture at Molineux, however, we suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat - meaning we’ll have to be at our best to collect three points.

With only four Premier League matches remaining for City in 2023/24, FPL managers will be looking to maximise their points return before the shutters fall on the campaign.

CITY STAR

Foden was absent in City’s battling 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest through illness in Gameweek 35.

However, he has nonetheless returned 36 points from his last two league appearances and has racked up four double-digit hauls in his last six outings.

Despite making only three starts in the last six Gameweeks Foden is the third-highest goalscoring midfielder across that timeframe with five goals.

ONE TO WATCH

Hwang Hee-chan (£5.4m) is the opponents' dangerman. The South Korean scored his first goal since returning from injury in Gameweek 35, he is Wolves’ chief threat.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.1m) and Everton’s Jordon Pickford (£4.7m) are low-owned assets who both have good fixtures in Gameweek 35.

Manchester United’s 600 shots on goal this season is the third most in the league. This looks promising for Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.1m), who has scored in each of his last five home matches.

Pickford has kept four clean sheets in Everton’s last five Premier League matches, in that time recording 36 points.
