City to host Blackpool in pre-season friendly live on CITY+ | OneFootball

City will ramp up preparations for the 2021/22 season by welcoming Blackpool to the Academy Stadium in a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly on Tuesday 3 August.

Following our games against Preston North End and Barnsley, Pep Guardiola’s side will take on the Tangerines in our third pre-season encounter, ahead of Saturday’s FA Community Shield curtain raiser against Leicester City at Wembley.

Kick-off is scheduled for 6pm UK time and once again, supporters will be able to follow every kick courtesy of a CITY+ subscription, where you can also watch live streams of selected Women’s, EDS and Academy matches throughout the season, as well as full-match replays and exclusive CityTV productions.

Blackpool earned promotion to the Championship last season via the play-offs, finishing third in League One. The Bloomfield Road outfit defeated Lincoln City 2-1 in the Final at Wembley to secure a return to the second tier for the first time since 2015.
