City, of course, are the competition’s defending champions as we secured our first-ever UCL crown on a glorious night in Istanbul.

That defence has certainly gone well so far in this current campaign.

We emerged into the Round of 16 after easing through Group G with maximum points via wins home and away over Red Star Belgrade, RB Leipzig and Young Boys.

We followed that up by progressing to this current stage after a 6-2 aggregate victory over FC Copenhagen.

The second leg 3-1 win made it 30 Champions League games unbeaten at the Etihad - extending our English record in the competition to six matches better than Arsenal’s 24 from 2004-2009.

The result also meant we have gone 22 games unbeaten home and away in Europe and also won our last 10 Champions League matches, becoming the first English side ever to achieve that figure.

Now it’s on to the quarter-finals - our seventh successive season reaching this point in the competition - as we look to get a stage closer to London 2024 at Wembley Stadium.

We have won our past three last-eight ties, defeating Borussia Dortmund in 2020/21, Atletico Madrid in 2021/22 and Bayern Munich in 2022/23.

The confirmed match dates and ticket details of our latest quarter-final matches will follow in due course.
