The nominations for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2024 have been announced, with City represented eight times across all categories.

Pep Guardiola and Gareth Taylor have been shortlisted for the coach prizes in men's and women's football respectively, with Ederson and Ayaka Yamashita replicating them for the goalkeeper accolades.

Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw and Lauren Hemp are up for the women's award, while Erling Haaland and Rodri are in with a shout for the men's gong.

The candidates for each category have been selected by two expert panels – one for women’s football and one for men’s.

Ederson and Guardiola are defending their trophy won last year.

Voting for all individual awards will be equally weighted between fans, the current captains and coaches of all women’s/men’s national teams and media.

Meanwhile, fans can also have their say in the Men's and Women's Best 11 with voting set to close at 22:59 (UK) on Tuesday 10 December.

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in January 2025.
