Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson, Erling Haaland and Rodri have been named in the 2024 FIFPRO Men's World XI.

The trio have been selected after a voting process that included over 21,000 professionals from 70 countries, making this is a particularly coveted recognition for the game's elite.

Rodri can add the accolade to his growing list of prizes in recent months, after claiming the Ballon d'Or back in October.

Remarkably, this is the first time our midfielder has featured in the FIFPRO Men's World XI after an incredibly consistent run of form since moving to Manchester in 2019.

He featured 50 times for City across all competitions in 2023/24 as we picked up a record fourth successive Premier League title.

Away from club football, he was named Best Player at Euro 2024 as Spain won the tournament in Germany. The new comes shortly after Alex Greenwood was announced in the Women's World XI for the second year in a row.

De Bruyne is recognised by his colleagues and peers for the fifth time in his career having featured in every World XI since 2020.

Our creative midfielder missed the first half of the 2023/24 campaign through injury but returned with six goals and 18 assists across all competitions to inspire us to another title.

That included netting his 100th City goal back in April, becoming only the 18th man to do so and the first midfielder since Colin Bell.

After another injury layoff, he has recently come back into the fold for Pep Guardiola's side - shining on his first start in a win over Nottingham Forest last week.

Just like Rodri, it is also the first time Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson has featured in the final World XI.

Our No.31 was again a pivotal figure in last season's title charge, playing 43 times across all competitions.

He has seen off the competition of Emiliano Martinez and Manuel Neuer to be selected this time around.

It is the fourth successive year in which Haaland has been named in the XI, after featuring as part of the forward line in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The Norwegian earned his second Premier League Golden Boot in just two seasons in 2023/24, hitting 27 league goals and 38 across all competitions.

Earlier this term he reached 100 City goals in just 105 appearances, becoming only the 19th man ever to hit triple figures for the club.

After coming runner up in 2023, he finished fifth in this year's Ballon d'Or voting.

This news comes shortly after Alex Greenwood was confirmed in the 2024 Women's World XI.

Congratulations to every City player recognised by FIFPRO today!
