Forest finished third in the FAWNL Northern Premier Division last season and again target promotion to the Championship, as a full-time side.

For the forthcoming campaign, Forest will already have 18 full-time professional players, with only a small number of part-timers.

Head of Women & Girls Football, Amber Wildgust told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “The move to a full-time model has been driven by significant investment and the unwavering support from our owner [Evangelos Marinakis].

“It highlights our ambition as a club and our commitment to breaking into the FA Women’s Championship and fulfilling our vision of progressing to the Women’s Super League.
