MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup kicks off with Cibao FC against Cavalier FC in Group B on Tuesday at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

The two sides meet again in the tournament after disputing the championship series in the 2024 edition, won by Cavalier on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate.

Cavalier holds the distinction of being the only club to play in two Caribbean Cup finals, losing to Robinhood in 2023 before winning it all last year. The club’s all-time top scorers in the tournament are Shaniel Thomas and Shaquille Stein with eight goals each.

Cibao FC will be seeking a bit of revenge from last year as they lost the final at home due to away goals despite winning the second leg. Rivaldo Correa leads the side with six goals all-time in the competition.
