Details of upcoming tributes.

As April approaches, it is a time of reflection for all Leeds United supporters as we remember Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, who tragically had their lives taken from them, whilst away supporting the club on 5th April 2000.

This year marks 24 years since they left us.

At our Sky Bet Championship game against Hull City at Elland Road on Monday 1st April 2024, we will come together with a minute of applause ahead of kick-off and there will also be a tribute on the big screen in the 24th minute of the match.

We are pleased that members of both the Loftus and Speight family will be in attendance at the match against Hull City.

Delegates from both Leeds United and Hull City will also lay wreaths at Chris and Kev’s plaque at the East Stand ahead of kick-off, as a mark of respect.

On Friday 5th April, there will be a minute’s silence at Chris and Kev’s plaque on the East Stand at 1pm, which will be attended by members of both families, along with friends. Staff from Leeds United will be in attendance and supporters are also welcome.

The Leeds United first team squad and backroom staff will also be paying their own separate respects on Friday 5th April.

Chris and Kev will never be forgotten.
