Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen have been talking ahead of Manchester United facing Newcastle United.
The two Manchester United players claiming that there has been a big improvement under Ruben Amorim.
Christian Eriksen has scored no Premier League goals at all this season and only managed one PL assist. Indeed, Ruben Amorim has only given the midfielder two PL starts since Man U were outclassed and defeated by Newcastle United in December at Old Trafford.
As for Rasmus Hojlund, the striker who cost Manchester United over £70m has managed three goals in 26 Premier League appearances this season, matching Zirkzee who has three PL goals in 31 appearances this season.
Rather bizarrely, Christian Eriksen has now declared; “Obviously, I think everybody knows that Manchester United have some very, very good footballers.” The only problem is that the 33 year old has failed to name exactly who these “very, very good footballers” at Manchester United actually are…
Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund talking to official Man U media ahead of facing Newcastle United:
Christian Eriksen:
“It takes time to adapt to new roles and new positions on the pitch.
“Obviously, I think everybody knows that Manchester United have some very, very good footballers.
“It’s more about fitting them in the system that the manager wants you to be in.
“And then, from there, take advantage. Yeah, it takes time.”
“I think we’re starting [to learn] the system, you’ve got to learn your movements, player to player. I think that’s very important.
“I’ve played in this sort of system before, where it’s so important that you know each other’s movements and also like the opponents’ characteristics.
“But also internally, what is it that, say, Christian is thinking when he’s on the ball? That’s so important to understand and also to look what are his sort of main characteristics. That’s so important.
“We’re starting to get to know that because of training and because of games, obviously, but, yeah, you can start to see that a bit more now and I think that’s why the results are improving.
“He [Ruben Amorim] is very passionate and he wants to improve everybody.
“You can see that he has really got the heart for wanting to improve and be better. You can see that every day. He’s very passionate. He wants to bring this club back where it belongs, and I think that is his main quality, if you can say that. He just wants to be better and just be the best version of him being a manager.”
