Christian Eriksen made his return to the Danish national side for the first time since suffering a cardiac arrest against Finland at Euro 2020 in June tonight.

The Brentford midfielder came off the bench at half-time in the friendly against Netherlands at the Amsterdam Arena.

And incredibly he scored with his first touch to get his side back into the game at 3-2.

A clever team move allowed Andreas Skov Olsen to move into the Netherlands penalty area before he pegged the ball back for Eriksen to smash a first-time effort into the top corner.

The 30-year-old spent three years playing his home football at the same stadium while representing Ajax.

Remarkable return to international football.
