Uefa have confirmed that Christian Eriksen has been stabilised and is recovering in a Copenhagen hospital after collapsing on Saturday.
“The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised,” read an official statement.
During the Euro 2020 fixture between Denmark and Finland, Eriksen collapsed on the field (unopposed) which sparked instant concern from players and referee Anthony Taylor.
Paramedics quickly raced onto the field to treat the 29-year-old with CPR and heart defibrillation, in aims of resuscitating him.
After treatment, he was transported to hospital, where the Danish FA have confirmed he is ‘awake and stable’.
The game did continue from the point it was stopped, with Finland going on to record a 1-0 win.
