Christian Eriksen has ‘verbally agreed’ to join Manchester United, according to The Athletic.
The Danish playmaker is a free agent after his short-term contract at Brentford expired and has reportedly told United he is ready to accept their proposal of a three-year deal.
The 30-year-old would then need to pass a medical before officially becoming a member of Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Eriksen collapsed on the pitch during Denmark’s Euro 2020 clash with Finland in June 2021 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He was then out of action for eight months following the termination of his contract at Inter before returning to the Premier League with the Bees in January.
The former Tottenham man was in inspired form during the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, providing four assists and scoring once.
