He returned to a hotly debated subject from a few weeks ago, theRangers bench and player wildly celebrating a last minute equaliser against Aberdeen a Pittodrie when all it was doing was 99.99% guaranteeing Celtic the title, as Barry Ferguson’s side had a minus 42 goal difference on Celtic and could only match Celtic on points after two points were lost in Aberdeen.

Kris Boyd, the former Rangers striker and Steven Naismith, sacked earlier this season as Hearts manager, both tried to defend Barry Ferguson. Chris Sutton noted turned around to gesture at the Aberdeen support in a moment of triumph – as the result edged Celtic to within a whisker of a 13th title in 14 seasons, an unbroken 55th title and a grand total of 120 major honours, smashing theRangers mad claims that their clubs are somehow the most successful club in the world.
They aren’t even the most successful club in Glasgow. As Daizen Maeda said last weekend: “Glasgow is Green”.

Meanwhile there were a few faces missing from Celtic training at Lennoxtown today, causing some concern among the Celtic support who do not want to lost a third consecutive Glasgow Derby match against theRangers for the first time ever, dating all the way back to when the fixture began back in February 2015.

Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn and Alistair Johnston are all expected to start for Celtic on Sunday at Ibrox but until we hear otherwise from Brendan Rodgers there’s real concern. Jota too was missing after his knee injury last weekend at Tannadice, and we’ll hear today if his season is over and if so when we’ll be likely to see him return.
