Roma were quick to deny a report from Tuttomercatoweb claiming Chris Smalling had asked the club to leave by the end of the season.
Moreover, James Featherstone – the agent of the English defender – informed Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sport that they are still in talks with the Giallorossi over a possible contract renewal.
