Roma defender Chris Smalling was one of the players interviewed in today’s intense media day.

The English centre-back spoke to Sky Sport about the Giallorossi’s preparations ahead of the Conference League final.

“We’re ready for the final,” confirmed the veteran. “We have been preparing since the beginning of the season to get to where we are now, we will do everything it takes to win it.”

On Roma’s season of ups and downs in Serie A, he commented “It was a very balanced league campaign, with many teams fighting each other.”

“In some moments we gave really good performances, in others we made mistakes and dropped points along the way and this cost us the fight for fourth place.”
