Chris Smalling: “Roma can compete for Europa League trophy.”

Roma defender Chris Smalling reiterated his side’s Euopa League aspirations following tonight’s crucial draw at San Sebastian with Real Sociedad which enabled the Giallorossi to go through to the next round.

“We’re in the quarter-finals now, so we, like all the other teams, can compete for the trophy,” Smalling told Sky Sport after the game. “The level of the teams involved is much higher now.”
