Leeds United will always remember, 24 years on.
Friday 5th April 2024 marks 24 years since two loyal Leeds United supporters, Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, travelled to Turkey to watch their beloved team in action but tragically never returned home.

Chris and Kevin were brutally murdered in Istanbul on the eve of our UEFA Cup semi-final fixture with Galatasaray in 2000.
They will never be forgotten and will always have a special place in the hearts of Leeds United fans worldwide.
At 1pm today (Friday), there will be a minute’s silence at Chris and Kev’s plaque at the East Stand at Elland Road which will be attended by members of both families, along with friends. Staff from Leeds United will be in attendance and supporters are also welcome.
