Angers forward Mohamed-Ali Cho became the first player born in 2004 to score a Ligue 1 Uber Eats goal, when he struck in Angers' 2-0 win against Rennes on Sunday.

Aged just 17 years and 222 days, Cho bagged his first goal after racing clear on goal and at the second attempt, tucking away a composed effort past Rennes 'keeper Alfred Gomis.

Cho's goal ensured that he became the youngest player to score a goal in France's top flight since opponent on the day Eduardo Camavinga, who scored for Rennes against Lyon on 15 December 2019 at the age of 17 years and 35 days.

Cho also became the second player born in 2004 or later to score or later to score in the five major European leagues after Youssoufa Moukoko of Borussia Dortmund achieved the same feat.

Despite being born in France, Cho is an England U16 international - his eligibility earned by spending five years at Everton before his move to Angers in 2020 - and is already being tipped for a bright future in the game.

Sunday's game provided the Angers forward with his fourth start in a row and one year on from his debut, Cho has now amassed a total of 24 appearances for the club.
