Chivas are still waiting for their first win of the Guard1anes 2021 season after being held at home by Toluca.
The Flock opened their campaign with a draw on the road at Puebla, and added just a single point from Saturdayâs visit of Los Diablos Rojos.
Captain JesĂșs Molina gave Chivas the lead in the 23rd minute when he met an Alexis Vega corner to power home a header.
However, the visitors were level just two minutes later.
Chivas missed a couple of opportunities to stop a Toluca attack and when the ball fell to Kevin Castañeda the midfielder drove low past the flat-footed RaĂșl Gudiño in goal.
Neither side would trouble the scoreboard in the second half, as Toluca continued their impressive start after last weekendâs 3-1 home win over QuerĂ©taro.
Chivas will now look to Thursdayâs game at AtlĂ©tico San Luis as their chance to get their season up and running.
