After another rather poor tournament, Chivas have started their way building toward the 2022 Clausura and have officially brought in a player that’s considered a partial reinforcement.

On Tuesday, Chivas’ Tapatío side announced the signing of striker Paolo Yrizar, meaning he will be eligible to play for both Chivas and the Liga de Expansión sides.

The 24-year-old comes in after a strong season with Dorados, where he scored six goals in addition to five assists in 15 regular-season games.

It was Yrizar’s first and only season in the second division after a rather poor showing in Liga MX with Querétaro, Xolos, and Toluca, scoring a total of just once in 52 combined games in Mexico’s top flight.

Yrizar has worn the colours of El Tri in the past, featuring for Mexico in a summer 2019 friendly against Trinidad and Tobago.
