Chivas striker José Juan Macías is dreaming of the World Cup as he aims to raise his playing level with the Rojiblancos in Liga MX Clausura.
JJ Macías rejoined the Rebaño Sagrado in January after a brief loan spell with Getafe in Spain and is eager to get back on the pitch.
“I want to speak on the field to be able to be seen again by the National team’s coaching staff,” admitted the 22-year-old.
“The National Team is always a dream for me. I haven’t done well enough on the pitch recently to be selected but even so, I have been in the pre-selection.
“And of course, I’m dreaming of playing at the World Cup. I have a good relationship with all the coaches, but we are going to leave it in their court for now.”
JJ Macías is expected to return to the Chivas starting line-up for the first time since his return when the Rojiblancos host Puebla on Saturday.
