Chivas have been boosted by the news that attackers Alexis Vega and Ángel Zaldívar should be fit for Saturday’s Clásico Nacional against América.
TUDN reports that both players, who missed the Flock’s last two games through injury, have been training at “almost 100%”.
Vega picked up a leg problem against Costa Rica on international duty with Mexico, while Zaldívar has been nursing a thigh complaint.
Interim manager Marcelo Michel Leaño, who was installed in the wake of the sacking of Víctor Manuel Vucetich on Sunday, will be hoping to call on the two regular starters.
Los Rojiblancos are on a decent run of form at the moment, as they are unbeaten in their last four Apertura outings.
But they have struggled to be effective up front, with just eight goals scored in their nine games to date.
