Chivas have been off to their best start in years, taking seven points from their first four matches, scoring eight goals in the process.

Despite Alexis Vega’s brilliance carrying Chivas to the fifth-place position in the young season, the Chivas board are already preparing for life after Marcelo Michel Leaño.

According to reports out of Mexico, Ricardo Peláez has already began his pursuit of Puebla manager Nicolás Larcamón and reportedly offered 30 million pesos a year (roughly $1.5m annually).

However, Larcamón is believed to have turned down the offer, believing in his Enfranjados sides who have recently defied all expectations for several seasons running.

Puebla are currently in first place in the table on 10 points, going into tonight’s big clash against defending champions Atlas.
