Everything indicates that Fernando Beltrán will continue to be a Chivas player after a recent report claims the Guadalajara giants turned down a massive offer for the 23-year-old.
After having a limited role in the 2021 Guard1anes tournament and the confirmation that Víctor Manuel Vucetich would continue, it seemed that Beltrán would be swiftly out the door.
As revealed by journalist Agustín Jiménez from El Informador, Xolos made a formal offer for Fernando Beltrán, looking to bring him in through a juicy swap deal for star youngster Marcel Ruiz.
It’s been no surprise that Chivas have been extremely keen to bring in Ruiz, so rejecting this offer should signal the rojiblancos’ confidence in a Beltrán comeback.
The 20-year-old Ruiz has already been led by Víctor Manuel Vucetich at Querétaro. Ruiz’s usage severely declined during the 2021 Guard1anes tournament, going from 13 games (10 starts) and 790 minutes during the 2020 Guard1anes to a meagre 284 minutes in 10 games (one start).
