On Wednesday, defender Cristian Calderón became the fifth reinforcement that Chivas have officially announced as part of their overhaul for the 2020 Clausura tournament.
Sporting director Ricardo Peláez has already restructured the squad, with Chivas already having Uriel Antuna, José Antonio Madueña, José Juan Vázquez, and JJ Macías put pen-to-paper on fresh deals.
Calderón, who can play both full-back positions, will compete with both Miguel “Pocho” Ponce and Jesús “Chapo” Sánchez for a spot in the starting XI.
The four-time Mexico international scored five goals and added two assists in 17 games with Necaxa during the 2019 Apertura campaign.
