Jesús Molina has had a disappointing Clausura so far, and it could get even worse for the Chivas veteran after he went off injured in a friendly with Atlanta United on Sunday.
The defensive midfielder has seen just five minutes of league action so far this season, and sat on the bench for the entirety of the Flock’s 3-1 defeat to Tigres on Saturday.
He would have been hoping to impress in Sunday’s fixture with Atlanta, which served the visitors to Chivas’ Verde Valle training facility as they prepare for the upcoming Major League Soccer campaign.
TUDN reports that a knee injury saw Molina stretchered off, though the 33-year was able to walk to receive further treatment after that.
Los Rojiblancos won the friendly 3-0, but that will do little to lift spirits a day after their home loss to Tigres.
It marked a second defeat of the term for Marcelo Michel Leaño’s charges, who now sit eighth in the Liga MX standings.
