Chivas have been linked with two more players as rumours abound about who will be joining the club before the Clausura 2023.
With Fernando Hierro installed as sporting director and Veljko Paunović appointed as manager, it is expected that the pair will do significant reconstruction work to an underperforming squad.
Puebla midfielder Jordi Cortizo and Mazatlán playmaker Marco Fabián (a former Chivas player) had already been linked with the Rojiblancos.
According to W Deportes, Tijuana defender Victor Guzmán and namesake Victor Guzmán – the midfielder from Pachuca – are now also on the Flock’s radar.
While both players have been linked with Chivas before, it is understood that the latter is more likely to end up at the Estadio Akron next season.
Chivas, who finished eighth in the Apertura 2022 table before crashing out in the Repechaje, could certainly do with an injection of quality in both departments.
