The coronavirus delays will help all clubs to plan for the end of the 2020 Clausura and also next season, as it is not yet known exactly how long Liga MX will stop or when the Apertura will begin.

Chivas already have an eye on the market, and it’s believed they are already targeting their first footballer: Misael Domínguez, a promising 20-year-old midfielder who features for Cruz Azul but is not a regular in their starting XI.

According to Goal, Domínguez is a player that has impressed Ricardo Peláez, who was the one who brought him to Cruz Azul in 2018.

The winger’s contract expires in June, meaning he could arrive at Chivas on a free transfer.

Back in November, Domínguez admitted that he was feeling desperate at his current club, believing he hasn’t received the opportunities on the pitch that he deserves.

The Mexico U-20 international has featured 28 times for Cruz Azul in his career, though he’s only made two appearances this season totalling 19 minutes.
