Past relationships between Víctor Manuel Vucetich and midfielder Marcel Ruiz could see Chivas negotiate a deal with Club Tijuana.
According to reports from ESPN, Chivas look to boost their squad over the summer and Ruiz is on their radar.

While together at Querétaro, both Vucetich and Ruiz had a good relationship which is why the manager is eyeing to sign the 20-year-old.
With the deal for Erick Aguirre hitting some roadblocks and Ruiz reportedly wanting a move away from his current club, the deal seems to be obtainable for Chivas.
During the 2020/21 season, Ruiz made 23 appearances across all competitions and recorded one assist.
