While their work in the transfer market seems to be done, Chivas are still working internally to lock down players they see as important for the future.
It was announced on Friday that goalkeeper Antonio ‘Toño’ Torres and central defender Gilberto ‘Tibas’ Sepúlveda had both agreed contract extensions with the Guadalajara club.
Neither 23-year-old Torres or 20-year-old Sepúlveda are regular starters for Los Rojiblancos, but manager Luis Fernando Tena is clearly keen to prove that they are part of his long-term plans.
While the length of the extensions was not released, Chivas posted news of the Torres deal on Twitter with a photo of the stopper shaking hands with the boss.
Tena’s troops have their away game of Clausura 2020 when they face Pachuca later on Saturday.
