Director of Football Ricardo Peláez has admitted that goalkeeper Raúl Gudiño and midfielder José Juan Vázquez have asked to leave Chivas.
Both players have had limited playing time for the Flock, though they are at opposite ends of their respective careers.
Gudiño, who is 24 years old, is not content to play second fiddle to first-choice stopper Antonio Rodríguez, while 32-year-old Vázquez is also not happy to warm the bench as he enters the latter stages of his career.
“They can really be low Gudiño and the ‘Gallito’, because they have approached me and have expressed their desire to play and have more participation,” Peláez told Chivas TV.
However, the director added that both players understand that they will stay at the club if satisfactory offers are not received for them.
There has been much speculation about ins and outs at Chivas recently, which Peláez wanted to address.
With Gudiño looking for an exit, it has been reported that the Guadalajara outfit are in the market for a back-up goalkeeper.
However, Peláez denied that this was the case, and insisted that they have made no approaches for Pachuca’s Rodolfo Cota or Jonathan Orozco of Santos Laguna.
He also confirmed that Carlos Salcedo of Tigres will not return to Chivas, and that Cristian Calderón will remain at the Estadio Akron.
