Chivas remain in the hunt for a new head coach having parted ways with Ricardo Cadena following their first-round post-season exit.
Sporting Director Fernando Heirra travelled to Spain as the Rojiblancos stepped up their pursuit of former Valencia manager Albert Celades.
The talks with Celades, however, reportedly didn’t go as well as Heirra would’ve liked although the chances of a deal aren’t yet over.
Los Rebaño Sagrado are determined to secure a new head coach before the players return to begin their Liga Mx Clausura preparations, with José Bordalás, Luis Milla and Antonio Mohamed all on their shortlist.
It was revealed on Friday that the squad, which was due to report back for pre-season on the 1st of November will now get two more weeks giving the club more time in their search.
