Through the Chivas official website, the ‘Herd’ announced that owner Amaury Vergara met with ambassador Jon Benjamin to sign Vergara’s endorsement for the ‘HeForShe’ campaign.

HeForShe is a solidarity movement for the advancement of gender equality, which was initiated by the United Nations.

During the meeting, Vergara and Benjamin also worked on a deal that could see Chivas and West Ham face off in the near future.

The statement read: “The British Embassy offered support to Chivas to observe the recommendations made by FIFA, in addition to mentioning a financing option granted by UK Finance (UKEF).

“Finally, Ambassador Jon Benjamin and Amaury Vergara spoke about the possibility of organizing an exhibition match between West Ham United and Chivas.”

West Ham are having an incredible start to the season, currently in fourth place in the Premier League as well as having won Europa League Group H against Dinamo Zagreb, Genk, and Rapid Wien.
