After breaking his contract with Al-Gharafa, Héctor Moreno is reportedly analysing offers from Liga MX and Major League Soccer.

The 33-year-old has left Qatar two years early and still has plenty to offer North American sides despite not being in his best form.

According to various Mexican sources, four Liga MX sides (Chivas, América, Tigres, and Rayados) inquired with Moreno’s representatives over a potential summer move.

However, Moreno is still hoping to make a salary of around $2m, which may not be affordable in the current Covid-19 economic environment.

With both Carlos Vela and Chicharito Hernández having incredible success in MLS and the increased salary options, Moreno could very well find himself playing in the United States or Canada this summer.

Moreno will also have the 2022 World Cup on his mind, which will undoubtedly affect his upcoming decision.

The former Real Sociedad and Espanyol centre-back has been summoned by Tata Martino to face Iceland in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, May 29.

Of course, this match will be to prepare for their Concacaf Nations League semi-final match against Costa Rica on the third of June, with Honduras and the United States facing off in the other semi.

The winners will face one another on Sunday, 6 June, with the losers participating in the third-place match on the same night.
