Juventus moved up to third in Serie A as a goal in each half steered them past Sampdoria on Saturday evening.
The Old Lady took an early lead when a fine move involving their attacking trio ended with Federico Chiesa sweeping in from close range.
Juve were largely dominant after that opener but found a second difficult to come by, with Alvaro Morata being denied by the offside flag – something no Bianconeri game is complete without.
However, the second duly did come in injury-time when a fine Cristiano Ronaldo through ball on the break cut Samp open and allowed Juan Cuadrado to tee up Aaron Ramsey for a simple finish.
Despite being unable to add to their advantage, Juventus held out without too much difficult to keep the gap to the top at seven points.
