An insight into some of the confusion behind the scenes at La Liga giants Real Madrid when it comes to the lack of opportunities being afforded to youngster Arda Güler has today been forthcoming online.

As much, of course, comes amid what has proven a difficult debut campaign to date for Güler in Spain’s capital.

Since linking up with Real from Fenerbahçe in his home country of Turkey last summer, the 19-year-old has majorly struggled to carve out a role for himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Owing to a combination of fitness woes and competition for places, Güler, all told, has been afforded just seven appearances, only one of which came in the form of a start.

And such limited game-time, it would appear, is beginning to spark contention behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.

As per a report from Relevo, many in a position of prominence at Real Madrid consider Güler to be nothing short of a ‘generational’ talent.

Chief scout Juni Calafat is one such individual, with the Spaniard having difficulty understanding why ‘he counts so little for Carlo Ancelotti’.

Others, meanwhile, have been left ‘upset’ by how the situation has played out.

Los Blancos’ headmaster, however, remains unwavering in his stance that the prodigious young midfielder must respect the pecking order in his squad.

Ancelotti confirmed on the back of his side’s victory over Barcelona at the weekend his intention to afford Güler an imminent uptick in minutes, but the situation, nevertheless, remains a delicate one.
