Several Chivas players have not had the performance that they would like during the ‘Guard1anes’ 2020, having to start and stop on many occasions due to coronavirus outbreaks within the team and injury woes.

So that the duo stays match-fit, manager Víctor Manuel Vucetich has made the decision that both Chicote Calderón and Ronaldo Cisneros will play in Liga de Expansión MX with C.D. Tapatío.

The pair will have unique registration so that they can play both with the second-division side and the Chivas first-team, as long as King Midas deems them worthy of the matchday squad.

Vucetich has insisted this is not a punishment to his players and that he has only sent them to the Tapatío squad to play more and find their best football once again.

“We have to give them that rhythm. They are going to participate precisely in that League so that they have the rhythm they require.

“We want them to grasp that sporting form once again so that they can be viable elements of the squad at any time.”

Neither of them has been able to play even half the time Chivas has played in the current season.

Of 630 possible minutes in the ‘Guard1anes’ 2020, Cristian Calderón has featured a total of 274 minutes while Ronaldo Cisneros has accumulated 123 minutes.
