Chicharito shuts door on immediate return to Chivas

Long rumored to be on his way to Chivas, Javier “Chicharito” Hernández has closed that door this afternoon.

ESPN journalist David Faitelson tweeted at the 31-year-old forward asking him to wear the Chivas jersey again next season, quoting Chicharito himself on the tweet.

However, despite the tweet, the West Ham striker went on the record and has ruled out a return to his boyhood club in the near future.

“I will always love Chivas,” tweeted Chicharito. “It is not in my plans to return to Mexican football at this time. It has nothing to do with lack of love or lack of passion for football or for Chivas. [It is] simply is a decision I made.”
