Chicago Fire have announced the signing of Leonardo Barroso from Sporting CP.
The teenager defender joins the club on a deal until 2028 with the option for a further year.

Barroso has impressed for Sporting's B side this season, starting 12 times in Liga 3.
The 19-year-old has also represented Portugal through the age groups, playing a key role in the under-17 European Championships last summer.
“I’m very happy to join the Chicago Fire,” Barroso told the club's official website on Tuesday. “
The Club has ambitious goals and a very clear plan for 2025 and beyond. I’m ready to contribute and give my best on and off the field to help us succeed.”
