Cherubini and Darboe nearing Sampdoria switch

Luigi Cherubini has been actively involved in Roma’s pre-season friendlies.

He played at least 20 minutes in matches involving Gian Piero Gasperini’s team.

Last season, he played on loan at Carrarese in Serie B, making 34 appearances for the Gialloblu, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Cherubini could soon return to Italy’s second division. Sampdoria have been tracking him for some time.

As reported by Il Secolo XIX, the Blucerchiati have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with the Giallorossi for the loan of the 2004-born player.

According to Calciomercato.com, Ebrima Darboe is also expected to follow suit.
