Chelsea’s three most dangerous players this season, according to FB Ref’s numbers, are Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – in that order.
Pulisic has 0.71 goals and assists per 90 minutes. With only 3 starts he’s not been used much, but he’s made things happen when he’s been on the pitch.
Mount is the opposite he’s played 14 games from the start, and has maintained an impressive 0.49 combined goals and assists per 90.
Aubameyang has 0.49 from his 8 starts.
Raheem Sterling, Reece James and Armando Broja lag behind them. All of them will have to step up with James out of action. There are so many games, this season, and so many competitive teams, that grinding out wins will so often come down to being the more ruthless team.
It should come naturally – under Graham Potter they’ve scored more than one goal in 6 out of 9 games, and have only managed less than one xG once – when they had 0.9.
