Chelsea’s league table position in calendar year is truly terrifying

We all know how bad it has been for Chelsea in recent times since the new owners came in last summer.

It’s gone from bad to worse on the pitch at least, even if they have been spending a lot of money and investing in the squad.

Today marks a year since Graham Potter was hired as the new manager of Chelsea, a day after Thomas Tuchel was sacked. Things had been bad before then, and just got even worse under Potter.

With Mauricio Pochettino in charge now their is a renewed confidence that things will pick up with a lot more quality now added to the squad and deadwood gutted out.

But looking at the league table for the calendar year of 2023 is truly terrifying for Chelsea fans, with their club alarmingly close to relegation!

Chelsea fans are just not used to seeing their club so low in the table, and 16th position will certainly not feel good. The Daily Mirror have the league table.
