Chelsea drew 2-2 with Everton on Saturday, a disappointing result but there are plenty of players who can hold their heads up.

Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell were the highest rated players in Graham Potter’s team on the day, with a score of 7.8/10 each on WhoScored‘s rating system.

Along with Joao Felix they were the creative fulcrum of the team, and Chilwell created the first goal before Havertz scored the second.

Honourable mentions should go to Enzo Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic in midfield, too. They were vital in the periods when Chelsea dominated the game, and things only fell apart once changes were made to the team that started the game.

So, with so many players on a good rating, how did we end up drawing? The clue comes form the two lowest rated starters – Kalidou Koulibaly on 5.9 and Kepa on 5.8, the two who let themselves and the team down in the final moments.
