Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández has been reportedly been ruled for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on an ongoing groin injury.
According to the Guardian, Fernández has an inguinal hernia and the procedure will sit the Argentine down for the final six games of the Premier League campaign.
It’s another blow for Chelsea as well, as the Blues have dealt with an extensive injury list for the bulk of the season. Christopher Nkunku, Roméo Lavia, Reece James, and Ben Chilwell are all among the walking wounded for Mauricio Pochettino.
With six games to go, Chelsea currently sit in ninth place and can still qualify for European competition next season.
