Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has said it would ‘mean everything’ if Chelsea win the Europa Conference League this season.

Chelsea progressed to the final of the competition after Dewsbury-Hall’s goal sealed a 1-0 win over Djurgardens at Stamford Bridge. The victory sealed a 5-1 aggregate success and Chelsea will face either Fiorentina or Real Betis in the decider, with their tie into extra time.

Enzo Maresca’s side are aiming to become the first club to win each of UEFA’s current club competitions.

Dewsbury-Hall, who joined the Blues from Leicester last summer, is determined to get over the line and win a European trophy.

“Amazing to be in the final. We set our sights at the start of the season to get as far as we can in this tournament and it has been a long couple of months but one more game to go and and hopefully we can lift that trophy,” Dewsbury-Hall said to TNT Sports.

On what it would mean to him to win a European trophy in his debut campaign: “It would mean everything. A lot of people would have said we should this at the start of the season but I think if we do, we deserve a lot of credit.

“I know what football is like, it’s not easy. If we do win it, which I hope we can, the players and staff deserve a lot of credit. We have had pressure from the first match day, we have been professional and dedicated and now we have one more game.”
