The 23-year-old arrived at the club last summer from Spanish side Villarreal in a deal worth around £32m and had an impressive debut campaign.

Jackson scored 17 goals, 14 of which came in the Premier League as he led the line for the majority of the season and impressed with his all round play, especially his hold up and link up play.

Jackson shares what he loves doing on the pitch

The Senegal international was rewarded with a two year contract extension for his efforts in his debut season, which ties him down at Stamford Bridge until 2033.

Jackson by his own admission should have scored more goals last season given the opportunities he missed, and if he can brush up on his finishing he could definitely become a 20 goals per season striker.

The Senegalese has made a good start to the new campaign with two goals and an assist in the first four Premier League games of the season and is once again set to be Chelsea’s main striker.

Speaking in a recent video shared to Chelsea’s official Instagram page Jackson revealed that he loves doing a back heel, after he scored one last season as he redirected a shot from Cole Palmer

“I think Cole shot the ball, but I knew it was not going in,” he said.

“So I had to flick it with the backheel and it was an amazing goal, I love to do backheels a lot.

“If you watch me, you’ll see a lot of backheels in the game.”

It’s clear Jackson has a lot of potential and the Blues obviously believe in him as a player, so it will be interesting to see how he develops under Enzo Maresca over the course of this season.

Jackson will be hoping to add to his goal tally against West Ham on Saturday afternoon as the Blues look to make it back to back wins in he league for the first time this season.
