In 2015, Chelsea became the second ever winners of the UEFA Youth League.

The Blues’ Under-19s were crowned European champions as they defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2 in the final in Switzerland.

But who were part of Chelsea’s triumphant squad and where are they now?

Just two players are still at Chelsea…

GK: Bradley Collins – Barnsley

Collins left Chelsea in 2019. He’s currently Barnsley’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Aina made six appearances for Chelsea before leaving for Torino in a £9m move in 2019.

DEF: Andreas Christensen – Unattached

Christensen’s time at Chelsea came to an end this summer. He played 161 times for the club and helped them to four trophies. He’s been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona.

DEF: Jake Clarke-Salter – Unattached

Clarke-Salter, 24, spent the last six seasons out on loan. He was released this summer after spending the 2021/22 campaign with Coventry.

DEF: Jay Dasilva – Bristol City

After spells at Charlton Athletic, Dasilva signed for Bristol City in 2018. He played 37 times for the club in the 2021/22 season.

MDF: Charlie Colkett – Unattached

Colkett was recently released by League One outfit Cheltenham.

MDF: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – Chelsea

Loftus-Cheek is one of just two players in the squad that are still at Chelsea. He played 40 times for the club in the 2021/22 season.

MDF: Charley Musonda – Unattached

Musonda’s career has been derailed by injuries. The 25-year-old was released by Chelsea recently.

MDF: Izzy Brown – Unattached

Brown was highly-rated at Chelsea as he captained their U19s to Youth League glory in 2015. He’s failed to fulfil his potential, though. Brown has been without a club since being released by Preston North End in 2021.

MDF: Jeremie Boga – Sassuolo

Boga has made a name for himself in Italy after joining Sassuolo in 2018. He spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Atalanta, scoring twice in 22 games.

ST: Dominic Solanke – Bournemouth

Solanke disappointed Chelsea fans when he decided to depart the club for Liverpool in 2017. He went on to join Bournemouth in a £19m move in 2019. Solanke was on fire in the 2021/22 season, scoring 30 times as Scott Parker’s side were promoted back to the Premier League.

Subs:

Jared Thompson – Unattached

Thompson spent the 2021/22 season as FC Midtjylland’s backup goalkeeper. He left the Danish outfit at the end of the season.

Fikayo Tomori – AC Milan

Tomori joined AC Milan in a £25m move in 2021. He was one of the best defenders in the league as Milan were crowned Serie A champions in 2021/22.

Kyle Scott – Unattached

Scott has been without a club after departing FC Cincinnati in February 2022.

Ruben Sammut – Unattached

Sammut has been without a club since leaving Dulwich Hamlet in 2020. He is now a First Team Recruitment coordinator and analyst at Charlton Athletic, per his LinkedIn page.

Dujon Sterling – Chelsea

Sterling was just 15 when in Chelsea’s UEFA Youth League triumph in 2015. Now 22, he’s still at Chelsea and spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Blackpool.

Tammy Abraham – Roma

Abraham played 82 times for Chelsea, scoring 30 goals, before departing in a £34 million move to Roma in 2021. His first campaign in Italy was a huge success as he scored 27 times in 53 appearances.

Kasey Palmer – Bristol City

Palmer played just seven times for Bristol City in 2021/22. He is a Jamaica international having made his one and only appearance for the Reggae Boyz in 2021.
