Leeds United are working hard to close a deal for Chelsea starlet Lewis Bate.

If the deal does go through, Chelsea will not include a buy back within the transfer agreement, per Leeds Live.

The midfielder has been on the Elland Road club's radar for a long time.

Now a transfer looks likely to happen as the new Premier League season edges closer.

Chelsea are willing to sell Bate as he rejected an offer of a new contract at the club and wants regular senior football.

While there will be no buy back clause, a sell on clause is possible to ensure that if Bate becomes a top class player, Chelsea recoup a chunk of any fee Leeds receive for him.
