Chelsea Women have completed the signing of Lauren James from Manchester United Women.

James has joined the club on a four-year deal, for a reported fee of £50k (as per The Athletic).

“It’s a great feeling to come back home, to a great club, the club I started at the age of six,” she told the club’s official website.

“To be able to play for the first team now and come back here to Emma and the rest of the group is a great feeling.”

The 19-year-old made history by scoring Manchester United’s first-ever goal in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and finished as their top scorer in the 2019/20 season with six goals in 12 appearances.
